July 2009 Session

FUNKe FIRED ARTS is excited to offer classes in hand-building, wheel-throwing, and sculpture. These classes take students through the entire sequence of steps required to go from wet clay to a glazed and fired finished product. Our philosophy is that if you learn the basics very well, you will be able to make anything with practice. Our standard classes are geared for adults. The minimum age is 16-years-old. We also offer a wide variety of specialty classes each session and we have a fully integrated Children’s Program for kids and teens. The fee for one session of classes is $200 (unless otherwise specified), which provides for the following:

* Unlimited studio practice time during business hours (to be used by the end of week #6)
* 50 pounds of clay (to be used by the end of week #5)
* All materials required for glazing at cone 9
* 2000 cubic inches of firing space.
PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional charge for a tool kit ($25) if the student does not already own tools.
